Spook-Free Hallowe'en Mini Quilt

Spook-Free Halloween Mini Quilt by www.madebyChrissieD.com

I haven't made anything for Hallowe'en before, but this week, I remembered a little something extra I received with my August Cotton Cuts subscription box...

...this panel.

It's actually a section from this larger panel called Bonehead by Clothworks.

On Friday night, I decided it wasn't too late to make the panel up into a mini-quilt.

I backed and self-bound it with another Hallowe'en fabric that's been in my stash for a few years now - it's from 2013, part of the Wicked collection by Kim Schaefer for Andover Fabrics.  Don't you love those spiders?!

It only took me just over an hour so, yes, I really did still have time and now it's hanging over a door in our kitchen.

Those sweets have been quickly rebagged ready for trick or treaters knocking at our door this week, just the smell of all that sugar was too much!
